Recognise Your Cleaning Operatives

Friday, 16th September 2022, marks the Worldwide ‘i-Recognise’ day. i-Recognise day was set up around four years ago to acknowledge cleaning operatives across the globe who deliver an invaluable and essential service for us all. The day has been widely shared throughout many countries including The UK and Ireland, Spain, Holland, Brazil, China, Canada and Australia.

We understand that post-pandemic cleaning operatives are more crucial than ever, with many working long hours to keep hospitals, supermarkets, schools, offices, and countless other places clean so every individual feels safe in these environments.

Cleaning operatives are at the forefront of creating cleaner, healthier spaces for everyone. So, we dedicate this day to recognising these unsung heroes who deliver an invaluable and essential service to keep all environments clean and, therefore, safe. i-Recognise Day is proud to be endorsed by BICSc (The British Institute of Cleaning Science).

We chose this date as it falls alongside World Clean Up Day (Saturday, 17th September), where everyone globally is encouraged to get involved to do their bit to clean up their local environment. This year i-Recognise is celebrating its 4th year and we are delighted to say numerous international organisations are actively supporting i-Recognise. These include ISSA, Medirest, Vinci Facilities, ISS, Serco, Tersano, Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners, i-Team Global, Killis Ltd and many more.

Taking Part

We want to encourage all businesses to promote this day by sharing posters, using #iRecognise on all social media platforms, and showing banners on your website. These are downloadable and free of charge from the i-Recognise website: www.i-recognise.com.

We also know that a simple “Thank You” goes a long way, so please remember to show your appreciation to your hard-working cleaning operatives. And, for more ideas on how to recognise your cleaning operatives please visit www.i-recognise.com.
