BELFOR UK REPORTS MAJOR GAINS IN GENDER PAY
Leading disaster recovery firm BELFOR UK publishes latest Gender Pay Gap Report highlighting tangible improvements in equity and transparency
BELFOR UK, a trusted leader in disaster recovery services, has published its latest Gender Pay Gap Report. The analysis shows measurable progress toward equity and transparency in a sector where operational strength depends on skilled, motivated teams.
The report, released in line with government legislation requiring employers with over 250 staff to publish gender pay and bonus data annually, reflects a year of positive gains. With a workforce comprising 19% women and 81% men, BELFOR UK has reduced its mean gender pay gap to 5% and median gap to 13% – a fall of over 10 percentage points in both metrics compared to previous reports.
The gender bonus gap has also narrowed significantly. The mean bonus gap now stands at 28%, while the median gap is 17%, representing a drop of more than 50 percentage points across both measures.
Representation in senior pay brackets continues to improve, with female representation in the upper pay quartile rising from 11% to 19% – the most notable shift across all levels. Bonus eligibility is now almost equal, with 79% of women and 78% of men receiving a bonus during the reporting year. This reflects a structure that rewards performance equitably, regardless of gender.
BELFOR UK’s Managing Director, Hein Hemke, comments: “This progress reflects our ongoing efforts to embed equality into every level of our organisation. In an industry where responsiveness and collaboration are critical, fostering an inclusive workforce is part of how we ensure long-term resilience – not only for our people, but our clients, and their policyholders too. While we are proud of the strides made, we recognise that progress is an ongoing journey, and we remain committed to driving further change.”
