£30M AI TECH HUB OPENS IN BIRMINGHAM
Artificial intelligence is becoming more relevant and indeed essential to futureproof the success of UK businesses, so it was with great delight that Birmingham saw Sidetrade unveil its very own AI Technology Hub and Platform open last month.
Revealing plans to create 70 jobs with an investment of £30m Sidetrade’s includes software innovation, training initiatives, expert services new jobs.
The company have bases already operating in London and counts the likes of Samworth Brothers, Fremantle Media, Inmarsat, Hearst Magazines and Atkins among its engaged clients.
Chief executive Olivier Novasque said: “The tech hub moves Sidetrade further ahead in our journey for the most innovative AI-powered solutions for business.
“This investment represents a leap ahead for Sidetrade, the UK tech community and internationally. The Hub will equip Sidetrade to compete globally in B2B AI technology.”
The plan to create new jobs will bring Sidetrade’s total tech headcount to more than 150.
The hub which will overlook Cathedral Square in Birmingham will be the company’s sixth office, and will be led by chief technology officer Mark Sheldon, who is from the city.
He added: “Our investment and job creation send a strong message that Sidetrade is set for rapid growth with a very capable and innovative team of data scientists, developers, and engineers at the heart of what we do.
“We want to keep Sidetrade at the forefront of the Tech industry and continue to grow in the UK as a global leader in AI.”
